Becoming an Earthbound Entrepreneur provides an opportunity of a lifetime. Here you will be introduced to some of the world’s leading researchers and their technologies. All projects have a climate impact and holds the potential to do a massive difference for our climate and planetary health. In fact, we see this as likely one of the biggest opportunities were you - and the researchers developing the technologies - together can create the first sparks setting off the avalance of positive large scale impact for our climate. We believe that the right technologies, with the right team, executed well can be the drivers of massive planetary change.

What you as an Entrepreneur get:

As an Earthbound Entrepreneur you get;

• Leading inventions qualified: Matched with top researchers that holds ground breaking inventions from leading universities to form a team (we facilitate the matching to ensure expectations and motivations are set across this new team).
• Fulltime pay: Paid fulltime focusing on bringing a technology to market together with researchers.
• Sparring and coaching with likeminded entrepreneurs: Via our Venture team (succesful serial entrepreneurs) as well as through access to a community of Entrepreneurs-in-Residence we share stories and help each other out (e.g. we do regular breakfasts together).
• The right timing for founding companies: Opportunity to learn researchers and technologies at their infancy and (if timing and matching is succesful) joining as a co-founder creating a company together as a team.

What the project gets:

• 100,000 EUR: The project receives up to €100k funding for up to a year to work on spinning out (creating a company).
• Venture building: Access to a stellar Venture Building team supporting the case team (the researchers and the entrepreneur) with guidance on all fronts of building a deeptech startup
• Recruiting and matching team: In early stages of a startup, besides the technology, the team matters the most to investors. We drive the process to set the best team for forming a succesful startup.
• Forming the company: The ownership structure as well as the licenses / IP associated to a project is critical for how successful the project is at attracting funding. We work closely with tech transfer offices and have a strong team of successful entrepreneurs and investors supporting in this critical phase.
• Fundraising: As the company matures fundraising becomes critical for take off. Our Earthbound team has in their former startups raised more than a half a billion DKK (+75m EUR) from pre-seed to Series C stages. We bring that knowledge to the table when the project starts to fundraise.

What we expect from you as an entrepreneur:

• Exploring the match with researchers:  Human relations are complicated, for this reason we have a grace period where we provide your allowance while we/you validate the team match and the business opportunity (3 months)
